On 2024-10-10, Mofu announced that development would be switching from Unity v2017.2.1f1 to Unity v2023, and that 32-bit builds would no longer be supported, citing issues with exporting Android 64-bit builds on the older version.

On 2024-12-18, the SubscribeStar page was suspended.

Lipstor incident

The developer Mofu, and a former volunteer, Lipstor, had a falling out over monetization of the game during its beta, and intellectual property rights over content that was suggested by Lipstor.

Following this disagreement, Lipstor launched a harassment campaign against Mofu, wherein they used a series of alternate accounts to post defamatory comments to intimidate Mofu into accepting their terms.

This campaign led Mofu to remove a significant amount of content from the game and change its title. Despite the changes to the game, it was later deplatformed on various services due to frivolous reporting by Lipstor.

On 2023-03-22, the game's working title was temporarily changed to Futas Valley.^itch.io

A Patreon page was briefly opened on 2023-08-27, before being suspended on 2023-09-08.^itch.io

Itch.io release period

At the suggestion of volunteers, Mofu began publishing the beta on English sites more accessible to overseas users. During this period, the game was made more portable for various systems.

On 2022-01-20, builds were moved from Fanbox to itch.io. Changelogs were posted to SubscribeStar and Fanbox, under the English title Futaken Valley, and Japanese title キノコ狩り.
