Details

You can include multiple sources, each on their own line.
A publication date is recommended on the first line for sorting purposes.

Artist — Creator of the artwork

The individual responsible for creating the artwork.

Details

This includes illustrators, animators, cosplayers, or any other role responsible for producing the work.
For works produced by a group where individual artists are unknown, tag the group name instead.

To distinguish between artists with similar names, you may use a secondary name in parentheses:
Artist_Name_(Secondary_Name)
Any other secondary names can be added as aliases to the primary artist tag.

Tagging Guidelines

For Original Characters: Original characters should be tagged Character_(Owner) along with the Original, Commission, or Borrowed tag to track ownership.

Original — Character owned by the artist (1st-party).
Commission — Character owned by a commissioner (2nd-party).
Borrowed — Character owned by another artist (3rd-party).

The artist tag doubles as a copyright tag when paired with the Original tag. Other copyright owners do not need to be tagged.

For Franchised Characters: Tag the copyright in Series instead. Do not duplicate the company or franchise in an Artist tag.

When an artist depicts themself: They appear in both artist and character categories. This also applies to Cosplayers and Vtubers.

Try to use full names and disambiguate by adding the series name in parentheses.

If a character is an original character belonging to an artist or commissioner, use the owner's name instead of a series for disambiguation .

Series — Series the characters belong to

The names of any works that the depicted characters originate from or belong to.

If not from a series, tag as Original.
